ON THE PLANE
From Odessa not there are regular flights to Bulgaria. Some companies organise Charter flights from Odessa to Varna or Burgas, which schedule must be clarified in advance.
BY CAR
To get from Odessa to Bulgaria are three possible routes: international route M15 through Tatarbunary Renee and Giurgiulesti, through Bolgrad and Vulcanesti or via Palanca to Causeni and Cahul. We do not recommend the route via Bal��happy due to the poor condition of the track on the section from Tatarbunary to the Moldovan border.
Route 1
Odessa – Palanca – Stefan Voda – the Causeni – Cimislia* – Comrat – kongaz – Cahul – Ounce – Galati – Braila – Negru Voda / Kardam – Balchik – Varna - 707 km.
* Some sections of the route between the villages of the Causeni – Cimislia are in poor condition. You can change the route, moving through Anenii Noi in Chisinau, but in this case, the route will extend to 75 km (780 km).
Advantages: good condition all the parts of the route on the territory of Ukraine and Moldova, particularly in the direction of Chisinau.
Disadvantages: the longer the route, the poor condition of some sections of the route on a segment of the Causeni – Cimislia.
Route 2
Odessa – Palanca – Sarata – Tatarbunary – Reni – Giurgiulesti – Galati – Braila – Negru Voda / Kardam – Balchik – Varna - 664 km.
Advantages: shortest route.
Weaknesses: the unsatisfactory condition of the international road M15.
Checkpoints on the border of Romania and Bulgaria:
- Giurgiu / Ruse - crossing the Danube on the bridge (the cost of moving Euro 6*);
- Calarasi / Silistra - ferry across the Danube (cost 6 euros);
- Negru Voda / Kardam - the bridge on the territory of Romania at Cernavoda (cost 3 euros)
- Vama / Durankulak
*Paid in the national currency RON / BGN.

From Odessa to Varna runs a freight ferry to Varna. On Board the ship has passenger cabins. The ticket price is higher than the cost of the bus trip.
